8th Ave. Gallery presents “Transformation”, featuring seven local Ocala artists that participated in an 8 week studio course with the gallery’s owner and director Seth P. Benzel. Initially started in Dubai in 2024, this course features 8 weeks of instruction that challenges students to challenge pre-conceived ideas and tendencies through embracing different approaches to painting and finding peace in the uncomfortable. It is the Benzel’s approach that we create more grounded work when we tap into that which lies on the other side of standard practice. These seven students embraced the challenge and created a body of work that is truly impressive.
