Sabrina Pohl

(b.1994)

Stuttgart, Germany

Sabrina Pohl is a German artist based in Vienna and Stuttgart. In 2017, she cooperated with Raun LaRose for the New York Fashion Week that was featured in Highsnobiety among other things.

In her abstract work she draws on an intuitive use of form in order to dissolve “everything that is” and therefore open up new perspectives which shall first create openness for a new space of viewing. Light and space are central subjects in her work; these disguise the essence that she interprets as key elements of every natural being. They can be found for instance in her portrayal of landscapes’ silhouettes.

Thanks to her longer stays in the mountains of Tyrol or the valleys of Egypt she perceived a connecting element in the artworks – they facilitate the inner truth by opening up.

Joy, truth and devotion shall be expressed playfully through her abstract art; consequently, these are an expression of the experienced truth which encourages “to live as our true authentic selves”, which means living not only for ourselves, but also for others, while stating that we don’t have to convince anyone of our own personal truth
